QuickBlog: Sapien’s “PowerShell Help Community Edition” – free tool:

Sapien’s Technologies has a saying “… to make Windows administrative tasks — whether you’re scripting, working with databases, working with XML, or related technologies — simpler.” and they are not kidding.  First, take a look at their free community tools you can download at this link: http://www.primaltools.com/downloads/communitytools/

I recommend to download their “PowerShell Help Community Edition”.  It’s a free download and you only need to provide your email address to get the download instructions.

This download is quick and it’s an easy installation.  You will appreciate this PowerShell Help interface which gives you all the basic Help elements to get your PowerShell scripting started.

One thing I really like is in the “Aliases” section where you can see both the Alias (cmdlet short word) and the full cmdlet name:

Also, if you want to get the online version of the cmdlet then is also available and it will be displayed in the same GUI

So, this is a tool to have if your diving to understand and learn PowerShell.

Happy PowerShell Scripting!!
